Dr. Vera Triplett on Building a School That Serves Every Child
Noble Minds Founder & CEO Dr. Vera Triplett joined us this week with a clear message: New Orleans needs more schools built for the kids other places won’t take. When the team saw that the traditional charter structure couldn’t support the level of therapeutic and behavioral care their students required, they pivoted. Noble Minds became a private microschool so it could keep its mission intact and keep its doors open.
The Mission
Noble Minds serves some of the city’s most neurodiverse learners—children who need academic support, therapy, behavioral intervention, and family coaching in one place. Dr. Triplett’s background in education, counseling, and juvenile justice shaped that model: address the whole child, stabilize their day, and academic growth follows.
Her words set the tone for everything the school does:
“We actually want the kids other people don’t want.”
How the Model Works
Combine academics, therapy, and behavioral support under one roof.
Build routines that help students regulate before pushing academics.
Engage families so support continues outside the classroom.
Create an environment where children who have struggled elsewhere finally experience success.
This approach requires space, consistency, and the right physical environment—something the current facility no longer provides sustainably.
The Real Estate Need
Noble Minds is now preparing for its next chapter. The school needs:
~10 classrooms, ideally on the East Bank or in East Jefferson
Space that supports therapy rooms, small-group instruction, and movement
A cost structure that frees resources for student services
A long-term home that stabilizes the program
Right now, the school pays over $200,000 per year in rent, which strains a budget built on tuition, grants, and philanthropy.
A 501(c)(3) partner offering an in-kind donation of space could solve this instantly. It delivers tax advantages to the donor and provides Noble Minds what it needs most: room to serve more kids who have nowhere else to go.
Where Agents Come In
KW New Orleans agents have the expertise and the network to move this. We’re looking for:
Commercial specialists who know inventory and can spot viable options
Anyone with leads on underused buildings, surplus space, or mission-aligned partners
Creatives who can help structure a donation or hybrid lease that maximizes tax benefits
If you can help identify that space or want to explore a creative solution, connect with us directly. We’ll put you in touch with Dr. Triplett and her team.
Why It Matters
A stable, affordable location means Noble Minds can expand its whole-child model and reach more students who have been turned away elsewhere. This is a direct, concrete way to strengthen the city and change real outcomes for families.
